Lots of people have been wanting a post on affordable alternatives for the James Bond ties. Especially those from the Daniel Craig films. And while there are a few options from other brands, the truth is, after many months of searching, I still haven’t found any that really do the job. Knit ties from the Connery/Lazenby era? Sure, lots of alternatives for those. The Tom Ford rust color knit tie from SPECTRE? Yep, we’ve already looked at options for that one. But the intricate patterns of the other silk ties used in Craig’s 007 films just aren’t that easy to match. And we’re nothing if not detail oriented around here.
Which brings us to the replicas. Bond-fan favorite Magnoli Clothiers is currently offering the most screen-accurate and affordable replicas on the market. As bonus, according to the reviews, they’re also very nicely made ties. Below is a list of their options.
James Bond Ties from the Connery Era
Woven from 100% silk with a reinforced neck, this knit tie is in the classic style made famous by both Sean Connery’s and George Lazenby’s 007 in films such as Dr. No., From Russia With Love, Goldfinger and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
James Bond Ties from the Daniel Craig Era
Handmade from 100% silk, the ties measure 3 3/4″ at their widest point by 57 1/2″ in length. And you really need to go to Indy’s site and check out the detail of the weaves for each tie.
